This lot features a beautiful 14K gold pendant necklace set with rare Tanzanite and Diamonds. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The pendant shows a tear drop cut natural anzanite stone with vivid violet blue coloring and fine eye clean transparent clarity. At the top of the prong set 14 karat white gold pendant shows a clasp showing 1 round cut Diamond stone weighing 0.05 karats with the Tanzanite stone weighing 1.65 karats and the collective gold weight 0.76. The Color Jewels hallmark is shown on the pendants eyelet.
