Featured in this lot is this tanzanite diamond and 14k white gold necklace with IAS paperwork. The necklace features a polished, tested and stamped custom ladies necklace that shows a 'ADG' hallmark with a '14k' stamp next to the hallmark. The center stone is a trillion cut natural tanzanite stone that shows a bright dark blue color and shows a total weight of 2.65 carats. The center stone shows a single natural round brilliant cut diamond with H color gradient and shows SI clarity. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The piece comes complete with IAS(Independent Appraisals Services, a GIA certified lab IAS Appraisal Number#: 27522EW) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $4,985.00.
