Featured in this lot is this tanzanite, emerald, and diamond, 14k two tone gold ring. The ring shows a 14k two tone, yellow and white gold, construction with a vintage estate face setting made from white gold and split shoulders on the ring band. The ring has a gold weight of 3.88GM. The center stone is an oval tanzanite cabochon with a collective weight of 5.74 carats. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzanite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This example has a nearly flawless eye clarity and unbelievable depth with transparent finish. The center stone is accompanied by four round cut emerald cabochons with a collective weight of 0.55 carats and set at the four corners of the center stone. The vintage estate setting of the ring is profusely decorated by 12 round cut diamonds weighing 0.14 carats. The Crown Jewel, INC. hallmark is shown on the inside of the ring band, along with a 14k gold stamp on the other side. The measurements of this ring are 1" x 3/4" x 3/4" the ring size is US 7.
