Featured in this lot is this tanzanite onyx and diamond 18k white gold ring with GAL paperwork. The ring features a wonderfully and professionally crafted 18k white gold construction that is marked 'Oscar Friedman' and shows a 18k gold stamp next to the hallmark. The center stone is a cushion mixed cut tanzanite gemstone that measures 12.50 x 7.39 x 5.84mm and shows a blueish violet color hue and is moderately strong saturation levels and is transparent with a total weight of 4.53cts. The shoulders feature four total onyx accents that show black coloration and are opaque and transparent with a total weight of 0.93cts. The center stone is profusely decorated with a total of 26 round brilliant cut diamonds that shows VS clarity and a color gradient of F-G and a total weight of 0.76cts. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzantite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This example is a nearly flawless eye clarity and unbelievable depth with transparent finish. The piece comes complete with GAL(Gemological Appraisal Laboratory of America, Inc., a GIA certified lab GAL Appraisal Number#: GAL202211727) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $14,900.00. The ring size is US 7.
