Featured in this lot is this Taxco, Mexico sterling silver beaded silver pearl necklace circa mid 1900's. The necklace features a wonderfully and professionally crafted silver pearl construction that shows silver pearls strung on a metal chain with silver clasps and a medallion with the etched inscription of 'LW'. The "LW" hallmark on Mexican silver jewelry is attributed to "Los Castillo," a renowned silversmith family from Taxco, Mexico. The workshop was established in the 1930s and became well-known for producing high-quality silver pieces, including jewelry and flatware. The initials "LW" specifically stand for "Los Castillo Workshop," and the mark is often seen on mid-20th-century pieces. The condition of this Taxco silver beaded necklace is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp is 24 1/2". The collective weight of this necklace is 135.6g.
