Featured in this lot is this Taxco, Mexico sterling silver chipped malachite necklace. The necklace features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and chipped malachite that shows segments to the necklace and is marked on the back as follows: S25 TC-135 - Mexico. Chipped malachite still retains much of its natural beauty and charm. The vibrant green hues and unique banding patterns characteristic of malachite continue to shine through, even when minor chips are present. These chips can add character to the stone, showcasing its natural origins and journey from raw mineral to polished gem. In many cases, chipped malachite is re purposed into beautiful jewelry or decorative items, where its stunning colors and patterns remain the focal point, allowing the stone to be appreciated for its enduring beauty. The condition of this Mexican necklace is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp is 18 1/2" and the center segment measures 1 5/8" x 3 1/8". The collective weight of this necklace is 68.7g.
