This lot is a limited-edition Chilmark Fine Pewter sculpture by Donald Polland. The sculpture is of the famous and iconic folk hero of American, Indigenous, and Canadian popular history, Native American Shawnee chief and warrior Tecumseh. He is seated on a tree stump while holding council with three other Native American warriors. Tecumseh is known for promoting resistance to the expansion of the United States onto Native American lands from the 1790s - 1813. The detail of this piece is exceptional and there are no flaws noted. It measures 7.75" H x 6.5" L x 5.25" W.
