John Ronald Reuel Tolkien CBE FRSL (1892-1973) was an English writer and philologist. The top, bottom and fore edges of the paper feature a lovely green and white marbling. The book includes a number of two color illustrations including two pages showing Thror's map. The green leatherette bound illustrated hardcover with stamped gold gilt and red foil Norse rune lettering is in very nice condition, scuffing noted to cover edges.
