For your consideration is a hardcover copy of "The life of David Crockett: The Original Humorist and Irrepressible Backwoodsman" published by A.L. Burt Company, New York and copyrighted by E.A. Brainerd in 1902. This is an autobiography with illustrations and introduction by G. Mercer Adam, to which is added an account of David Crockett’s glorious death at the Alamo while fighting in defense of Texan independence. There is an engraved portrait of David Crockett (1786-1836) next to the title page by T.B. Welch. This book is in good condition overall, and shows a signature with a date of 1932 on the inside cover. It is a wonderful early edition. This book measures approximately 5.25 x 7.5".
