For your consideration is a hardcover copy of "The life of David Crockett: The Original Humorist and Irrepressible Backwoodsman," published by A.L. Burt Company, New York and copyright by E.A. Brainerd 1903. This is an autobiography with illustrations and introduction by G. Mercer Adam, to which is added an account of his glorious death at the Alamo while fighting in defense of Texan independence. There is a engraved portrait of David Crockett (1786-1836) next to the title page by T.B. Welch. This book is in good condition with some damage to the pages, wear on the edges of the blue binding, and a little to the insides of the cover; but is a wonderful early edition.
