For your consideration is this First Edition book, “The Life Of General U.S. Grant”, by L.T. Remlap, 1885, Fairbanks and Palmer Publishing Co. San Francisco, Cal. This interesting and highly detailed biography is the story of "...His early life, military achievements, and history of his civil administration, his sickness and death, together with his tour round the world, containing his speeches, receptions. and description of his travels." A wonderful history of the General's life. The book contains over seventy-five illustrations. This blue coloured cloth bound gold gilt stamped hardcover is in fair condition, scuffing noted to cover edges, gold gilt is still bright. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and foxing, pencil writing on title page. Measures 6"W x 8.75"L x 1.25"D, weight 2lb, 2oz.
