For your consideration in this lot is a 1930 first edition of “The Navajo Indians” by Dane Coolidge and Mary Roberts Coolidge. The information in the book comes almost wholly from the Navajo People themselves. Three prominent Navajos are credited in the preface of the book, Nils Hogner (artist -trader), Long Mustache (medicine man), and Louis Watchman (interpreter). The book has over 25 illustrations, most being photographs. The book still has its plastic dust jacket intact, and is in good condition. The book measures 9” x 6 ¼" x 1 ¾".
