Offered in this lot we have the Never-Fail kerosene 5 gallon oil can. The Never-Fail can was patented and manufactured by J. A. Haps manufacturing co. and was one of the very first patents the company received. The J. A. Haps MFG Co. was founded in 1902 in Greenfield, Ohio around the "never-fail" design invented by Eugene Arnott. The can was produced from between 1902 to the early 1950's. It displays original Never-Fail front tag that shows 80-90% condition. The can features rotating nozel, hand crank pump, and twist cap for the spout. The can shows very good condition for its age with much of the original tag and finish across the piece. It measures 15" tall by 11 1/4" in diameter.
