This particular volume is hand-numbered 448 out of 530. The book has been professionally rebound in full red leather with gilt ruling on the covers, raised bands on the spine, and decorative gilt embellishments. The spine features gold gilt lettering reading, "The Odyssey of Homer" and ornate detailing. Inside, the book is printed on fine paper and contains twenty full-color plates by Sir William Russell Flint. Flint’s illustrations bring Homer’s epic to life with intricate and beautifully detailed artwork. The typography is crisp, and the pages have a natural age toning, typical for a book of this age.
