Featured in this lot is this First Edition of “The Story of Yellowstone Geysers” by Clyde Max Bauer, 1937, including an original bookmarker. Clyde Max Bauer, Ph.D., was the Park Naturalist at the time of publication. The title page notes the book is approved by The Natural Park Service and was illustrated by Jack Ellis Haynes, the famous photographer of Yellowstone and other National Parks. The many Haynes photographs are what make this edition special. This is one of the early works on Yellowstone geysers. The book features a tan coloured clothbound hardcover with blue gilt lettering and illustration of an erupting geyser on the front cover. The condition of this book is good overall, with some slight scuffing to the cover. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and foxing consistent with the book’s age. The measurements of this book are 6.5"W x 9.5"L x .75"D
