In this lot are Volume I and II of The Western Front Drawings by Muirhead Bone. Bound in publisher's brown portfolio with white spine label, green lettering on label. Volume I consists of Parts I-V,volume II consists of partsi-V. Each in oversized paper wraps. With an introduction by General Sir Douglas Haig. Sir Muirhead Bone (23 March 1876 – 21 October 1953) was a Scottish etcher and watercolorist who became known for his depiction of industrial and architectural subjects and his work as a war artist in both the First and Second World Wars. Commissioned as an honorary second lieutenant, Bone served as a war artist with the Allied forces on the Western Front. These collections of prints are in very good condition, the protective binders show wear to be expected for 100 year old items. Please see images for accurate assessment of condition.
