This is an excellent hand woven flat weave rug by master weaver, Nico Gutierrez. The rug was made using 100% soft, fine, hand spun wool angora wool blend yarns in a beautiful Third Phase Chief Blanket pattern. The rug was hand woven with a tight weave using 100% hand spun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, hand woven weave, displayed with natural fleece tones, is in the fine Third Phase Chief Blanket pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Nico Gutierrez. This rug shows iconic Zapotec design with thick, symmetrical Third Phase Chief Blanket Crystal design. The design features a large maroon medallion with a stepped design set with arrows along the outside of a dark brown border of geometric designs, which includes coloration of black and heathered white on a red field with lightening crystal decoration. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 4’ by 6.5’ (4 foot 6 inches by 6 foot 5 inches). This is a brand new rug.
