This is an excellent hand woven flat weave rug by master weaver, Luis Hernandez. The rug was made using 100% soft, fine, hand spun wool yarns in a beautiful Wide Ruins Montanitas pattern. The rug was hand woven with a tight weave using 100% hand spun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, hand woven weave, displayed with natural fleece tones, is in the fine Third Phase Chief's Blanket Pueblo pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Luis Hernandez. This rug shows iconic Zapotec design with thick, symmetrical Third Phase Chief's Blanket Pueblo design with crystal decorated pueblo design set between bands of decorated stripes and waves of geometric designs, including coloration of black and white on a red field. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 2.5’ by 5’ (2 foot 5 inches by 5 foot). This is a brand new rug.
