Featured in this lot is this Time Life Civil War book collection circa 1983-1987. The original released collection came with twenty-eight books, this collection only contains only twenty-four of the twenty-eight books. The Civil War book series provides a detailed account of the American Civil War. Time Life published the series between 1983 and 1987, with each volume focused on a different issue, such as the blockade or spies, but primarily on battles and campaigns. The 28 books are richly illustrated, with pictorial studies on various topics in each volume. The collection is missing the following four books: "The Fight For Chattanooga - Chickamauga to Missionary Ridge", "Sherman's March - Atlanta to the Sea", "The Nation Reunited - War's Aftermath" and "Master Index - An Illustrated Guide". The books all show a hard cover, bound in silver-gray padded faux leather with blue gilt lettering on the front and spines of the books. Each feature a picture front and center on the front cover pertaining to the topic of the book. The books show good condition overall with slight wear present from their age and use over the years, but no signs of obvious damage is noted. They measure 11" L x 9 3/16" W x 5/8" D and have a collective weight of 44 pounds and 6 ounces.
