Offered in this lot is a Rare Vintage Tin Litho Windup Train Set Made in US Zone Germany, circa 1945-52, zero (0) gauge. These are toys made after the end of the Second World War. Toys marked with a "Made in US Zone Germany" text range in date from about 1945 until 1952 and are highly sought after toys. The American zone where US Zone Germany toys were made consisted of Bavaria and Hesse in Southern Germany, and the northern portions of the present-day German state of Baden-Württemberg. Manufacturers of these toys included Marx, Karl Bub, Bing, Hafner, and Marklin. Included are three (3) locomotives, four (4) coal cars, two (2) "Santa Fe" freight cars, two 2) passenger cars, one (1) wheel axle, one (1) track connector rod, one (1) trace brace, twenty-eight (28) curved tracks, nineteen (19) straight tracks, one (1) wind-up key. One of the freight cars and the passenger cars do not have wheels, some of litho paint exhibits fading and slight rust, two track pieces are bent and the ends. Locomotive gears run, no other obvious marring noted. Locomotives are the largest cars, measuring 5.5"L, curved tracks measure 11.25"L, strait tracks are 8.5"L
