Featured in this lot is this pair of Tlingit Northwest Pacific Coast moccasins, circa 1950's. The Tlingit are indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America. The moccasins are profusely decorated with trade seed beads, including chalk white, transparent blue, transparent dark red, medium green, dark green and a transparent pink. The moccasins are also decorated with a lovely lining of white mink fur around the ankles. The moccasins are constructed from Parfleche hide and trade cloth. The condition of this pair of moccasins is good, showing no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this pair of moccasins are 3 1/2" x 10 1/4" x 5".
