For your consideration is this professionally framed Tom Perkinson (1940-2017) watercolor painted titled, "Full Moon, New Mexico" from 2005. American artist Tom Perkinson was well-known for his depictions of the American West and landscapes. He was born in Oklahoma in 1940, and he lived most of his life in New Mexico, where the natural beauty and rich cultural history served as sources of inspiration. Perkinson is well known as a master of the Western landscape genre and has had his work displayed in numerous exhibitions and galleries across the United States. His works are held in numerous public and private collections, including the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Cowboy Artists of America, and in 2017, Perkinson passed away. "Full Moon, New Mexico" shows a lovely night scene with a chapel and house illuminated with lights coming from the inside of both buildings. The full moon is peaking out from behind some tree branches as it illuminates the sky and ground, casting an amazing reflection on the small creek in the foreground of the painting. In the distance below the moon, you can see a large mountain peak showing colors of blue and purple. The painting shows amazing colors and great attention to detail. The painting shows the title and artist signature on the back of the frame in pencil reading, "Full Moon - New Mexico - Perkinson - '05". The painting is set in a large, dark wood frame and is single matted by white matting paper. The painting and frame are in good condition with no signs of wear or obvious damage present. The visible art measures 18 7/8" L x 18 7/8" W, while the entire piece measures 30 11/16" L x 30 9/16" W.
