Featured in this lot are thirteen, unused .45 Colt bullets, a Third Ward Councilman star badge and a Boot Jack tobacco knife from Tombstone, Arizona Territory 1880-90s. The Third Ward councilman in Tombstone, Arizona is one of four elected members on the City Council, with each councilmember representing a specific geographic ward within the city. The councilman's responsibilities include attending regular council meetings, voting on laws, budgets, zoning changes, and contracts, and collaborating with the mayor to shape the city's policies and operations. Beyond citywide choices, the Third Ward councilman is intended to be the direct voice for Ward III inhabitants, receiving complaints, worries, and ideas from that area of Tombstone and incorporating them into council deliberations. The star badge is stamped reading, "Councilman 3RD Ward". The knife is marked reading, "Boot Jack Tobacco Knife" on one side and is marked reading, "Compliments John Finzer & Bros" on the other side. This was a small utility knife, and once featured a cork-screw but has since been damaged and broken off. The bullets are made in the .45 colt caliber, with one marked reading, "W.R.A. Co. .45 Colt". The pieces show fair to good condition with wear present from their age and use over the years. Damage present to the Boot Jack knife. The bullets measure 1 5/8" L x 1/2" W, the badge measures 1 7/8" L x 1 7/8" W and the knife measures 5/8" L x 3 1/4" W x 3/8" D. The pieces have a collective weight of 12 ounces.
