Featured in this lot are three, barber back bar bottles from Tombstone, Arizona Territory from the 1890s, with one coming from the estate of A.E. Hartman, a prominent jeweler in Tombstone, A.T.. Barber back bar bottles were decorative bottles, often of high art glass quality, used in barber shops to hold various hair treatments and products. They were a popular item from the 1870s to the late 1910s. These bottles were displayed on the back bar of the shop, hence the name, and were used to hold items like hair tonic, hair oil, bay rum, shampoo, and rosewater. The first in this lot shows a cranberry color with a bulb style bottom and long, skinny neck. The second shows a similar style but shows a purple color from its age. The third bottle is from the A.E. Hartman estate and shows a more cylindrical look. The bottles show good condition overall with little to no wear present despite their age and use over the years. They measure from 4" L x 4" W x 6 1/2" H to 3 1/2" L x 3 1/2" W x 8 3/8" H. They have a collective weight of 2 pounds and 8 ounces.
