For your consideration is an Original Navajo Diné Tommy Singer and Rose Singer Multi-Strand Distinctive Elegant Sterling Silver and Multi-Stone Necklace. Tommy Singer (1940-2014) was a world famous Navajo silversmith who specialized in chip-inlay jewelry. His inlaid turquoise, coral, and silver pieces incorporated traditional Navajo designs. Singer gained acclaim as the originator of the chip inlay design which he developed in the 1970s and is used by thousands of artists to this day. Since his passing in 2014, Tommy's wife, Rosita, has continued his legacy. The new jewelry is stamped T and R Singer. This necklace features two large cylinder barrel in Tommy Singer pattern crafted of sterling silver and 14K yellow gold overlay as well as a graduated pattern with polished discoidal turquoise spaced with purple spiny oyster heishi beads along with tigers eye, denim lapis lazuli, sugilite, charoite, agate, spiny oyster, jet, and a coral / red spiny oyster or pipestone catlinite, and sterling silver beads and spacers. The large barrel beads are stamped / signed “T&R SINGER” (T & R Singer) as well as signed on the clasp cones, “STERLING”. The condition of this necklace is good. The measurement of this necklace from clasp to clasp is 30". The collective weight of this necklace is 186.60 grams.
