Offered in this lot are Vintage Tony Lama Classic Style 4961 Saddle Wild Bull with Oiled Shark Heel Counter, circa 1970s-1980s. This classic western boot features a distinct "Saddle Wild Bull" (often referred to as Shrunken Bull) foot and upper design and sharkskin heel counter. The 'Saddle' color provides a rich, dark tan to brown distressed finish, while the 'Wild Bull' leather is known for being extremely rugged, pliable, and comfortable. Historically, shrunken bull shoulder or bullhide leather has been favored by rodeo riders and working cowboys because it handles the wear-and-tear of stirrup pressure incredibly well and molds nicely to the foot. The rugged Saddle Wild Bull vamps are combined with the exotic oil sharkskin heel counter and classic western / riding heels designed to lock your foot securely in the stirrup while retaining the traditional "downtown" cowboy aesthetic. The boots are in very nice, almost new condition with slight wear noted. Each measures 4.25"W x 11.25"L x 13.5"H, combined weight in boot box is 4lb.
