This is an excellent, premium cowhide rug with beautiful tri-colored, reddish brown coloring. The Hereford color is characteristic, with the body color varying from rust brown to a deep rich red. The face, crest, dewlap, underline, switch, and legs below the hocks are characteristically white; this particular hide shows a color index of dark brown fading into a reddish brown, with the underbelly and legs showing the color fading to white. Tri-Colored cowhides are one of the most desired and are of the highest quality. The cowhide (also referred to as cow hide, steerhide, steer hide) is a brand-new example that has been professionally tanned and is in pristine condition.
