Featured in this lot are two, early 1950 - 1960s cast iron replica mechanical coin banks titled, "Trick Dog" and "Birdie Putt". The first is titled, "Trick Dog" and is a cast iron replica of an original of the James D. Capron Collection. It shows a clown standing behind a dog, ready to make him do a trick. When the lever on the side is pulled, the dog "leaps" forward and puts the coin from his mouth into a red barrel. The top is marked, "Trick Dog" while the bottom is marked, "Replica of an Original of the James D. Capron Collection". It is in working order and shows good condition overall. The next is titled, "Birdie Putt" and shows two men standing on a golf course "green". One is putting, while the other carries his bag and pulls the flag from the hole. The front is marked reading, "Birdie Putt". It shows good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and use over the years. The flag puller does not pull the flag when the man "putts" the coin. When laid flat, the coin is not hit. Both show good condition overall with slight wear present, but no major signs of damage is noted. The Dog Trick measures 3" L x 8 1/2" W x 7" H, while the Birdie Putt measures 3 1/4" L x 8 5/8" W x 6 3/4" H. They have a collective weight of 7 pounds and 14 ounces.
