This lot includes a Navajo Triple Strand Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace, 925 and artist hallmark stamped. Barrel shaped turquoise stones make up the majority of the necklace with eleven (11) tear drop shaped stones adorning the bottom of the longest strand. The beautiful stones have a spiderweb type matrix of mostly brown, but also some black and blue, and are strung on sturdy Navajo cord that is knotted and braided to form a soft comfortable neck piece. Native Americans associate turquoise with the blue sky and the green earth. It is known as the ’Traveler’s Stone’ and is prized by those who travel by land. They believed that wearing turquoise resulted in happiness and security. Is said to possess healing and protective powers, attracts luck, love, and money.
