Featured in this lot we have a trophy Montana taxidermy pronghorn shoulder mount. The pronghorn is a uniquely American game, existing as far East as Western Minnesota, and reaching to Eastern California - And as far North as Southern Saskatchewan, and South to Northern Baja. The Pronghorn, often referred to as an American Antelope, or simply Antelope, is actually closest related to the Giraffe, and is part of the Giraffoidea superfamily, making it a distant relative to more similar deer, antelope, and gazelles. This mount shows the prominent "Prong" horns where it gets its name. The mount displays a wonderful tan, dark brown, and off white color. The antelope shows fair condition overall with some shedding. The mount measures 30" tall by 10 1/2" wide.
