Two Daguerreotype Photos In Original Cases 1850-80

For your consideration are two daguerreotypes in their original cases showing photos of Nancy Bryant and Mary Bryant circa 1850-1880s. The first and smaller daguerreotype shows a small case with floral designs throughout the front and back. The interior of the case shows a red felt cover on the left side with floral designs, while the right side shows the photo of Mary Bryant surrounded by a gold colored frame. She is wearing a dress and looks directly towards the viewer with no smile on her face. The case measures 3" L x 2 9/16" W x 3/4" D. The second photo in this lot is of Nancy Bryant, and is housed in a faux leather case with embossed scroll designs on the front and back. The interior of the case shows a red cloth fabric on the left side while the right side houses the photo in a gold colored frame. Nancy is wearing a dress, a large bonnet and is holding a book in her left hand as she looks towards the viewer with a slight smile on her face. The case measures 3 5/8" L x 3 1/8" W x 9/16" D. The cases show some wear from their age and use over the years, but no signs of obvious damage are present. The photos show good condition with little to no wear present. The collective weight of the cases is 195.7 grams.
