This is an excellent, handwoven, flat weave rug by master weaver Pedro Gutierrez. It was made using local, handspun wool yarns in a beautiful Two Grey Hills Espiritu Natural pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using local handspun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, handwoven weave displays bright, rich tones in the fine Two Grey Hills Espiritu Natural pattern in the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Pedro Gutierrez. The rug shows a phenomenal, Navajo-like, Two Grey Hills Espiritu Natural pattern; modern detail shows an earthy brown border with a stair-like decoration connecting it to a beige field with four centered medallions, sporting earthy colors of dark brown and light brown. The rug shows four braided, white wool tassel on all four corners of the rug. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 2’ 6” by 5’ (2 foot 6 inches by 5 foot). This is a brand-new rug.
