Featured in this lot is this two stone tanzanite and VS2 diamond platinum ring with GGA paperwork. The ring features a wonderfully and professionally crafted platinum construction and shows a 'Oscar Friedman' hallmark and shows a 'PT950'. The two center stones are natural emerald, faceted cut tanzanite gemstones that measure 11.34 x 9.15 and 11.02 x 8.04mm and are considered type I with bluish violet with excellent symmetry that shows a a total weight of 10.67 carats. The floral decorated shoulders are set with a total of 60 round brilliant cut diamonds with measurements of 1.9 x 1.0mm and shows the average clarity of VS2 - SI1 and an average color of F - G and a total weight of 1.12 carats. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzantite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The piece comes complete with GGA(GemAssure Gemological Appraisals, GGA Appraisal Number#: GGA063340 and trace number: RN033464) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $43,570.00. The ring size is US 7 1/2.
