Featured in this lot is this type II Scottsbluff point from the Transitional Paleo to Early Archaic cultural period and aged from B.P 8,250 - 8,850. This point features a medium size triangular stemmed point with an elliptical ridge cross section. The blade is slightly excurvate and shows symmetrically balanced parallel sides. The stem is straight and fairly wide; the material the point was knapped from is a dark red chert material. The condition of this point is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 5" x 1 1/2" x 1/4".
