This is an original circa 1870-1880’s cabinet card original photograph of a group of nine U.S. Cavalry Soldiers while serving in the Indian Wars. The cabinet card shows nine U.S. soldiers in full uniform. The original authentic photograph is marked below by O.B. Brown Photo. Artist. The cabinet boudoir card is marked on the reverse “#27 Indian Wars”. The piece shows excellent composition and wonderful history. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art in Bozeman which was both part museum and gallery. Measures 6.5”x4.25”.
