Included in this lot is a U.S. Colt Army Model 1901 .38 Colt double action revolver. This revolver utilizes a 6” round barrel chambered in .38 Colt. The barrel has a fixed blade front sight and integrated rear sight. The top of the barrel shows the correct two line address reading “Colt’s PT F.A. MFG Co. Hartford CT. U.S.A. Patented Aug.5.1884 Nov.6.88. Mar.5.95.” The left of the barrel is also marked “Colt D.A. 38”. The frame, barrel, grips and cylinder all show a “R.A.C.” inspectors mark. The firearm is fit with straight grain walnut factory grips. The barrel and frame show a nice gray patina indicative of its early 1901 manufacture date. Serial Number: 167166.
