Featured in this lot are three U.S. Department of Agriculture - Forest Service card stock posters with Smokey the Bear advertisements circa 1968 to 1972. The first poster in this lot shows Smokey the bear in his iconic blue jeans and light brown "Smokey" hat as he sits around a group of animals with a forest background behind them. The bottom reads, "A true friend of Smokey's leaves matches alone he won't burn his fingers or the animals home" in black lettering. The poster shows good condition overall with some wear and staining present, but no signs of obvious damage. The second in this lot shows a burnt wood sign that reads, "Please be careful with fire" in white lettering. The bottom of the poster reads, "Only you can prevent forest fires" in black lettering. The poster shows fair condition overall with some wear to the corners of the poster and what appear to be bullet holes towards the middle. The third and final poster in this lot shows a portrait style photo of Smokey the Bear wearing his iconic "Smokey" hat as he looks directly towards the viewer. The poster shows good condition overall with little wear present and no signs of obvious damage noted. The posters measure 18 1/2" L x 13" W.
