For your consideration is this collection of three pieces of rarely seen china bearing the U.S. Forest Service logo. The pieces are white or off-white with the forest service logo in forest green. The logo is framed top and bottom with two pinstripes (one bold and one petite) circling the entire piece. The logo is a badge with an evergreen in the center separating "U" and "S". The top of the badge says "Forest Service"; the bottom of the badge says "Department of Agriculture". Two of the pieces, a serving platter and a small bowl, were made by Jackson China, in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania. They are both marked "Jackson China 1939". The third piece, a small saucer, was made by Sterling Vitrified China in East Liverpool, Ohio. All three pieces date to circa 1930's to 1940's and are in excellent condition. The largest piece, the serving platter, measures 9.5" x 13.5".
