Featured in this lot is this U.S. M.M. 1864 US Army Officers cavalry saber. The saber features a wonderfully and professionally crafted single sided curved blade design that features a wrapped leather handle with a brass bar style guard. The blade is marked 'U.S. M.M. 1864' and is marked with a faded makers mark the legible part of it reads 'Ames M - Chicopee, Mass.' The condition of this saber is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this saber is 39" x 5 1/2" x 1".
