Included in this lot we have an U.S. M8A1 M4 second production bayonet and original sheath originating from the 1950's to 1960's. The bayonet displays a steel blade with a black coating. The guard shows a tear drop style and is marked "US M7 - BOC". The grip shows plastic construction with the pommel showing a attachment point. The bayonet is designed to fit the M4 Assault rifle and was produced during the Vietnam War. The piece comes with a plastic and metal construction with a canvas belt strap. The front of the scabbard is marked "USM8A1 P W H". The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear across the piece. The bayonet measures 11 7/8" long with the blade measuring 6 3/4" long.
