The lot features a nice thick Buffalo Bison parfleche envelope with polychrome painting from the Umatilla Indians dating to the 20th Century. The circa 1900-1980 piece shows a thick Buffalo Bison parfleche rawhide which has been beautifully covered on the front with traditional geometric patterns from the Umatilla Indians in paint colors of red, green, yellow with blue outlining and pattern. The piece is folded as a traditional parfleche envelope and has an Indian tanned hide tie around the center of the piece. The blue outline extends to the back in a rectangular border. Overall in good condition well preserved with bright paint colors. Measuers as it is displayed 23.25"L by 10.5"W by 4" thick.
