Offered in this lot is a collection of twenty seven uniquely shaped Millefiori beads from the 1920's. Millefiori is one of the best-known and highly sought after techniques of Murano glass making. It stands for "a thousand flowers" in Italian, and indeed, the end result of this painstaking work often resembles a field of whimsical flowers showing off their beautiful colors. Eight of these beads are cube shaped, six are rectangle, two are heart shaped, four are "flat" ovals, two are long round ovals, two are small round ovals, two are round cylinders, and the last one is a single long teardrop. These beads are in excellent condition and have a high polish shine and very bright, vibrant colors. These beads range in size from the largest cubes being 3/4" square to the smallest cubes being 3/8" square.
