This is a collection of 20 photographs once owned and taken by Lewis Franklin Biggs. Biggs was the Head of USGS in Washington DC, appointed by Teddy Roosevelt, circa 1910-1912. Some photos include the state capitol building in California and the 1913 Women's Suffrage Parade. Previous Briggs Survey photo albums have sold at auction for $2,750 at our 1/14/2017 sale and $1,200 for USGS negatives at our 10/28/2017. Measures 8 1/2" X 5 1/4".
