For your consideration is a collection of early brass candlestick, kettle, bowls, and trays. The candlestick is rectangular in shape with a solid brass construction showing a nice patina. The candle holder itself is has a push up arm with a screw pin allowing the candle to be raised as it burns. There is a handle attached to the side rim of the plate allowing it to be carried. The bottom of the plate is marked with "Valmazan". This piece measures approximately 7 3/4"W x 7"L x 5"H, and the diameter of the candle chamber is approximately 3/4". Also, included in this lot is a brass kettle with goosneck spout, and black handle. This kettle has a long spout and chamber, and lid with a ball head topper. This kettle is in good condition showing the normal wear for the time period showing dents and light patina all around the body and the body's seam. There is also a small burn mark on the bottom of the kettle. The kettle measures approximately 10 1/2"H with a 5 1/2" handle, a 9 1/2" spout, and the diameter of the base is 5 1/4" with a 3 3/4" diameter at the top. The first, and larger, bowl is etched with a tree branch design on both sides, and it stamped "solid brass hong kong" on the bottom. This piece has a lipped rim top and shows a nice dark patina. The second brass bowl in this collection is marked "Made in India" on the bottom and features two flower design handles attached to the rim. This bowl shows a nice bright patina. Both pieces are in good condition. The larger bowl measures 4"H and 7" in diameter, the smaller bowl measures 3 3/4"H and 5" in diameter. This set includes two larger plates that were "Made in England" and show a beautiful hammered brass design including a village scene with horse, carriage, and riders. Around the rim is a roped design, and decorative design along the inside rim. These two plates measure 12" in diameter and include a mounting loop attached to the reverse. Also in this lot is a small polished and etched solid brass tray. This piece was "Made in India" and shows a nice patina with a decorative leaf etched design. Along the rim is a raised duckfoot pattern. This piece measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". Lastly in this lot are three plated brass and silver plates that are magnetic. These are three different size plates all with a decorative flower design etched on the surface. The two larger plates have a raised rim, and the smaller plate has an open cut rim. These three plates are in good condition and show a nice patina all around. The diameter of the plates measure 13 3/4", 12 1/4" and 10 1/2".
