Offered in this lot is a collection of Venetian Milifiori African trade bead necklaces. The first of these necklaces is made with many types of Milifiori beads, as well as Russian cobalt blue multi-faceted beads. There are 14 small Russian cobalt blue beads and 2 larger oblong beads mixed in with the 38 different Milifiori beads. The largest bead in this necklace is a Russian; it measures 1 1/8" long X 1/2" wide. The necklace is strung on leather and measures 26". The next necklace is strung on nylon line with a modern clasp. The 31 beads on this necklace are graduated round tubular beads. The centerpiece bead is 2" X 1/2" and has a twist of solid red and yellow Milifiori. The beads match on each side of the necklace. The total length of the necklace is 28". The last necklace is strung on raffia and consists of 8 yellow, green, white, red, and blue small beads that measure 3/8" X 1/4". The other 66 beads are sage green, dark green, red, and white and measure 1/2" X 1/4. These beads have a great color and are very tightly strung. The necklace measures 33". All three of these necklaces are in very good condition and only show minor wear and damage.
