Offered in this lot is a rare necklace of pink Venetian Trail "Pineapple" polychrome beads. These beads are from the early 1800's. The Pineapple nickname comes from the diamond shaped pattern of the pink on pink that is the base color of the bead. Dark blue, yellow, white dots finish the design on these beads. There are forty seven beads that average 3/4" X 3/8". The necklace measures 31 1/2" long. The beads and necklace are in very good condition for their over 200 year age. Provenance: letter of appraisal from Out-West Designs, L. W. Dinneen, dated March 20, 1999, with a value of $800.
