Offered in this lot is a very fine green glass "Lady's Fancies", or Wedding Cake, bead necklace. These beads were made in the early part of the 20th century for American trade and are in remarkable condition. There is one blue bead of earlier vintage. The beads measure an average 5/8" X 5/8". The necklace has fifty one beads, including the one blue one. The beads are decorated in yellow, lavender, red, white, and a coppery metallic glass. The beads are strung on raffia. The necklace measures 31". This necklace is in excellent condition. Provenance: letter of appraisal from Out-West Designs, L. W. Dinneen, dated November, 17, 1998, with a value of $900.
