For your consideration is this pair of Victor Ario Saddlery out of Great Falls, Montana shotgun chaps. Victor Ario immigrated to the United States from Austria, and moved to Great Falls, MT in 1891. When Victor Ario arrived in Great Falls, MT he went to work for J. B. Steffen and Tom Moreland where he worked as a saddle maker applying the trade he had learned in Austria from his Father. By 1903, Victor Ario was sole owner of the Victor Ario Saddlery Company which over the coming years led to big success. These chaps are appropriately darkened due to the age and wear of these chaps with lovely second layer sewn leather to the fringe out seam of the chaps; and shows the makers mark on the belt 'Arios Gt, Falls, Mt. Shotgun chaps, sometimes called "stovepipes", were so named because the legs are straight and narrow. The condition of this pair of chaps is good overall condition with some browning and wear to the chaps and shows the zipper is ripped on on of the legs of these shotgun chaps.. The overall measurements of this pair of chaps are 35" x 21" with a waist size of 36" with an inseam of 30".
