For your consideration is this late 19th century Victorian cabinet card photo / memorial album. Elaborate, intricate, magnificent, from the Victorian era, mid to late 1800s. The celluloid cover shows an image of a woman playing the piano with a halo over her head as she looks up towards angels who are handing her flowers. The front celluloid cover shows a light tan color and a gold colored locking mechanism on the side to securely close the album. The spine shows a white and green colored felt cover. The edge of each page is meticulously gilded, one of a kind and remain a fabulous souvenir book to cherish. The interior pages are mostly blank, but a few back pages feature six memorial cards for deceased relatives and/or friends with two of the memorial cards showing black & white photos. After the memorial cards are eleven cabinet card photos showing an older man, two middle aged women, a child, two young men, a young boy, three young ladies and a family photo consisting of two men and three women. The photo album shows good condition overall with some of the celluloid cover on the front showing slight chipping and cracking, but no signs of obvious damage is noted. It measures 10 3/8" L x 8 1/2" W x 2 3/8" D and weighs 3 pounds and 10 ounces.
