Featured in this lot is this Victorian Era French fireplace copper coal scuttle circa 1890's - 1920's. The coal scuttle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted copper construction that shows two handles one with a turned porcelain handle covering, very ornate, and the other is mounted with two lions head adornments. This piece was hammered as means of the design of construction and shows a welded joint towards the base where the vertical seam is folded and hammered. The condition of this coal scuttle is well preserved with some slight patina adorning the copper but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this coal scuttle is 10 1/2" x 4 3/4" x 6". The collective weight of this scuttle is 1lb.
